Armathwaite Faces.

Carved into the Rock in the Cumbrian village of Armathwaite are these Sandstone Faces peering out accross the River Eden. Unsure as the the storey behind them these faces are accompanied by a Poem also carved into the rock;

Oh the Fishers Gentle Life
Happiest is of Any
Void of Pleasure Full of Strife
Other Joys are but Toys
And to be Lamented
Only this A Pleasure is
Timber }{ Fishing
