I don’t think it’ll ever matter how exciting a trip i’m about to go on, how much of an adventure i’m about to have or how far i’m about to travel. I think I will always hate packing. How to prepare for as many scenarios that you can think of and the number that you can accomodate with the gear that you have. Then trying to fit all that into the limited amount of a) space that you have and b) the luggage allowance for the aeroplane.
As I mentioned yesterday I am packing to go off to Nepal. Primarily I am going Whitewater Kayaking with members of Ipswich Canoe Club though I am of course taking the camera with me and hoping to get some shots while i’m out there. This is a trip that has been in the works for about a year now and finally tomorrow I fly out to Deli to start this journey.
Despite this my belongings and clothes are still sprawled over the floor looking longingly at the bags hoping that at some point they will get packed but for the meantime avoidance seems to be the name of the game, whether that be looking through old photos or writing blog posts.
