Now in the Second year of my course at the University of Cumbria studying Adventure and Media, there is a new module that I am studying this year. Adventure travel writing is proving to be really interesting for me especially as I am about to set off into the world of adventure travel for the first time this week as I pack for Nepal (more on this tomorrow).
I have really enjoyed the Lectures so far which include both a history of travel writing, creative exercises to do and writing technique. The opportunity to start to learn english again is one which I am looking forward to, because I enjoy writing but pretty much stopped learning how to in any formal way aged 16 when I finished doing english at school.
I have started a journal and will be keeping that up to date, we’ll see where this goes but for now i’m just enjoying both doing it and reading travel books. The first hurdle i find that I am having to overcome though is I can never find a pen!! Will go buy plenty tomorrow.
