At the Colin Prior lecture I went to a couple of weeks ago he mentioned his sources of inspiration, one of whom was Ansel Adams. I had heard the name before but had never really looked into any of his work and to be honest didn’t know a lot about this person.

Reading more and more though biographies and articles about him he was not only a pioneering photographer but a environmentalist and passionate about the world that he was in.

I really like the crispness and sharpness in his images and the contrast throughout the images really show off the awesome landscapes of the American National parks. One of my favorite images of his is the image at the top of this post from Yosemite National Park.
